SUNDAY WORSHIP AND POTLUCK AT LAKE PHALEN @ 10:00 AM
Join us this Sunday for a bright and beautiful outdoor worship service and potluck at the Lake Phalen amphitheatre. While we will not be baptizing anyone this Sunday, we will be focusing on Living Our Baptism. Please bring a dish to share. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided.
Note: Due to a scheduling miscalculation on Pastor Brad’s part, he will be leaving that morning to take his daughter to college in Connecticut. Pastors David and Julie will be bringing the message Sunday morning.
AUGUST TITHES AND OFFERINGS
Gallery, we've come close to meeting budget this summer, but August is significantly behind. Please consider giving online today or giving this Sunday so we can meet our budget needs.
OBAMA BACK TO SCHOOL BASH this Wednesday!
Join us as we continue to represent the loving hands and heart of Jesus at the Barack and Michelle Obama Service Learning Elementary School. This Wednesday you can help welcome the kids back to school and provide homework kits for their fall education. Here are ways you can help:
- Play with the kids directly while their parents fill out vital paperwork (we will provide the activities)
- Guide families to classrooms and other areas in the building. Maps will be provided.
- Hand out homework kits
- Shifts are from 4-6pm or 6-8pm

Speaking of Homework Kits, please create a few and put them in the collection bins this Sunday at Lake Phalen. Each kit should contain:
- pencils, sharpener
- wide ruled notebook
- scissors
- glue stick
- 24 crayons (K-2 graders) or 12 colored pencils (3-6 graders)
WORK WITH PASTOR BRAD AT BILL’S PANTRY THIS SATURDAY
A simple way I serve St. Paul is by helping bag groceries at Bill’s Pantry, a ministry to people with HIV living in poverty. I’d love to introduce you to this great organization. Simply meet me in the basement of the Dayton Ave. Presbyterian Church at 8:30 AM this Sunday. We’ll be done by 10:00. And then, if you like, you can join me for my Saturday morning prayer walk!
LABOR DAY SUNDAY OUTDOOR WORSHIP
Sunday morning, Sept. 4th please join us for an outdoor prayer service for the fall and the Obama school. We will gather at Webster Park (just behind the Barack and Michelle Obama Service Learning School, corner of Laurel Ave. and St. Albans). Special Guest Stefan Van Voorst will lead us in worship. Please bring a chair! This is not a potluck.
EVERYDAY HEROES 9-11 SERVICE
Join The Gallery Sunday evening, at 6:00 September 11th at Central High School as we, along with other St. Paul churches, honor the everyday heroes of our community--teachers, firefighters, police, civil servants.
