PRAYER: LIFE--this Sunday
Gallery, we have chosen this summer to dig deeply into the calling to become a "house of prayer." In light of this, we are changing things up a bit this Sunday. In an effort to create more space in our congregational life for prayer, Pastor Brad will lead a special prayer time before the the 10:00 AM worship service to "seek the kingdom of God" for St. Paul and the world. Thus, this Sumday morning's schedule will look like the following:
- 8:00 AM silent prayer with Pastor Brad (downstairs), worship team rehearsal (upstairs)
- 9:00 AM corporate prayer with Pastor Brad with worship team (upstairs)
- 9:40 AM welcome and fellowship time (upstairs lobby)
- 10:00 AM worship and teaching (upstairs theatre)
What does this mean for you? That's up to you! If you feel comfortable in long times of silent prayer, you're welcome to join Pastor Brad at 8:00 AM. If you'd rather come for 40 minutes of corporate (not silent) prayer previous to the service, you're welcome to join Pastor Brad at 9:00 AM. Or if you'd rather join us at 10:00 AM as usual that is fine as well.
What does this mean for our service? Simply put, less microphones. Most Sundays the tech team and Pastor Brad arrive at 7:15 (or earlier) for sound set-up. In order to create more space for prayer this week we will go largely unplugged during the service, trusting God's presence will speak loud and clearly :-)
Will every week be like this?
No, but Pastor Brad felt a calling to create more space for Sunday morning prayer, and this is one way we will be answering that call this week. Thanks!

A GREAT ABSOLUTELY FREE GARAGE SALE
Many thanks to everyone who helped make our Free Garage Sale a success last week! We heard so many nice comments, and it was great to see rich and poor serving and being served together. Please give a big pat on the back to our Ministry Director Rita Lindstedt who worked extra hard to make the event an extra special day!
SPECIAL PRAYER SERVICE SUNDAY, JULY 3RD
The Gallery will hold a simplified, outdoor prayer and worship service on the steps of Steppingstone Theatre Sunday, July 3rd at 10:00 AM.
A MASTERPIECE ON STAGE THIS FALL
This summer the Gallery's drama team will be creating a play to be performed this fall. The work is untitled because, well, we haven't written it yet! The piece will be born out of OUR stories and OUR journeys with God. Do you have a story of God's work in your life you'd be willing to share? Do you have a talent in performing, writing, backstage gifts? Please contact Melissa Briggs (briggsmj4@gmail.com) for more info, or sign up at the Connections Table and get more information this Sunday!
THE GALLERY IS OFFICIAL!
The Gallery was born from the marriage of two entities: our denomination, the Evangelical Covenant Church, and Crossroads Church. Next week Pastor Brad and Ministry Director Rita Lindstedt will be in Estes Park, CO at the Evangelical Covenant Church's Annual Meeting being officially welcomed into our denomination. If you have a need that requires pastoral attention, please call The Gallery phone number: 651-560-0495 and Pastor David Bergstrom or Pastoral Intern Julie Capel will get back to you.
